I can't figure it out and I took it to the dealer and he can't find anything. I can't explain it REAL well but I'll do my best. When I run my 45 sec. track in the yard my Scrambler does some odd things. It's all handling. The rear moves around when I go full bore down a hill and it pushes and bucks when I turn fast. It's never done anything like this before, I've never had a problem. I checked air pressure and I don't think it's shocks. It almost feels like an AWD problem. Like one hub is locked up and the other isn't, I have a plan to check it but when it's dark at 6:00 pm it's hard to get out in the woods and check it. Has anyone else had any problems like this? Or anything close and what the heck is it?

Thanks!

Rippin

It is possible that one of the hubs is stuck in the engaged mode. Walexa has recommended in previous post (I try to give credit where due)to change the hub fluid to Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. This will eliminate the sticking hub problem and only cost about $5. Hope this helps.

Have you checked all your wheel bearings? Heck you have 8 sets of bearings in the front end and if one of them was bad it could easily cause some wierd handling problems.

Rippin,

As long as the hub fluid you drain out isn't milky, you need not check the condition of the front wheel bearings. It would take a good bit of riding with water in the front hubs to make one of those tapered roller bearings go out. Thanks Mud; the synthetic atf from Mobil 1 should correct any hub sticking problems.

Jack the front end in the air & spin the front wheels both ways to check for a sticking hub. Sometimes they seem to spin free while standing still, but will still stick under certain riding conditions, but if they stick on a jack you KNOW what is wrong.
