traded my polaris for vinson
#1
i traded my 05 700 efi after all the trouble its given me for an 05 suzuki vinson 500. i put 20 miles on it today and it is full of power. i believe it would take the polaris up to 60 mph and then it would be all over but the crying because the 500 tops out at 62. the ride on the 500 doesnt even compare to the polaris so thats going to take some getting use to. the 500 handles great and its a 5 speed manual shift with full floor boards. thats a plus for me. i like to do my own shifting and no belt worries. i got the yellow vinson so its sharp. luv the zuki i just hope it doesnt give me the trouble the polaris did. the polaris had an awesome ride, plenty of power, fun to ride, and simpile to operate. i just didnt like having to work on it everytime i went riding. i enjoyed chatting with you guys and will drop in from time to time to say hello. c yall.

Most polaris atv's are very dependable. Just as dependable as any other brand but just like any brand there is always a bad apple on the tree. Thats too bad that you changed but as long as you have fun riding thats all that counts. Im surprised you went with the vinson instead of the BF. Not that there is anything wrong with the vinson. Good luck anyway. It dont matter what you or anyone rides. We are all family and should stick together. Later!

good for you the Vinson is a good quad,my buddies got one and it's a solid machine.
Now about your comment of the Vinson taking the SP 700 not a chance, we race all the time and I leave em behind every time.
Single lung versus a twin, twin will always come out on top.
You have a good quad that won't dissapoint you, watch those brake pads though, my buddy changes them twice a yaer and the rotors aren't cheap.
Happy ridin.

Exactly, the 500 ho was faster than the Vinson in 3 of the last 4 mag shootouts, no way it'll take a 700, especially an EFI version!
Good luck nonetheless and keep us posted. I have a feeling you'll be replacing CV boots.
I have 1400 miles on my 700 and no problems with boots ripping here.

thanks guys, i guess the manual shift just makes it feel a lot faster out of the hole. i hadnt got to get on it hard yet because its still not broke in. as far as the boots go i hope i dont have anymore trouble but who knows. time will tell. and i wanted to stay in the 700cc or better range but couldnt afford it with the loss in trade. they had a team green 700 prarie i had my eyes on. they wanted 7300 and they didnt want to give me but 5000. for mine with only 316 miles. i give 8400 for my 700 with a 3000 lbs winch and i still owed that much on it because i got that 6 months with no payments. they were asking 6100 for the vinson 500 and after arguing with the sales manager for 2 hrs they finnaly swapped even with me. get this, they was wanting me to pay 1500 on top of what i owed bring my total to 9900.00. i asked to speak with the owner and they made me wait for two hrs. the sales manager come out and said the owner said he would swap even with me but i never got to speak to the owner. my dealer is very hard to deal with. i got a four year extended warranty with this one. ill keep yall posted on how it holds up. i know i got to get me a locker for the front end. i cant stand 3 wheel drive. as far as a certian brand i could care less as long as it is dependable. i realize things break and go wrong and ive been riding long enough to know when its my fault. the only thing that should have happen to my 700 that was my fualt was the shredded belt. i love how that thing rode and it looks like a beast. but because of that one bad apple and a sucky dealer ill never buy another polaris. good luck to all of you and thanks again for all the nice coments
