have been running a 147.5 for a long time and has been pretty good compared to the stock 152 are any of you running a 145main?if so what mods and did you find it alot better than the others?

 

I have the stock 152.5 in mine and find in the warm weather it runs too rich. Have dropped the needle two notches and is better but want to jet down to 150 or after reading your post maybe 147.5. I see you live in BC what altitude do you normally run at??

 

i would go with the 147 it will wake up the 500 by quite abit just put the needle back to stock and in the winter u might have to go up 1 size. i dont have to on mine at home i am about 1700ft and i ride any where from that to around 5500-6000ft and no problems i just want to see if i can sqeeze abit more out of it.winter time i have to pull the choke on till it runs abit maybe 20 seconds being it is in my garage it hesatates when u first fire up cold then it is fine

 

All my running is below 2000ft but I think I will try the 147. You can tell the difference on the hot humidt days it almost starts to bog under full throttle and fells slugish. Before I dropped the needle it would start in winter with out the choke. A bit off topic but what size are your Bearclaws and how do you like them??

 

i think they are great the fronts are stock size and backs are 25x12.50x10 1300 miles on the back ones and still work great
