Default hole in crank case

i have a hole in my crank case probably from a chain break and im wondering what is the best way to fix this thing. the hole is about 3/4" and has been previously patched with a dime and some poxy type stuff. im thinkin to make a patch and cover it up with some jb and then buy or make a gaurd. whatchall think

yeah jb would be another good temp fix but your best bet is to take it to a local welder and have the hole welded and ground

check your piston first. i posted a thread, my scrambler did it too. can buy that half of the crankcase, it may be more expensive, but then you can trust it.
