Default '01 Xplorer Mod's

I'm looking to do some reasonably priced mod's to my '01 Xplorer 400 4x4. My quad is all stock except for a K&N air filter. I'm looking for suggestions on what I can do. Better suspension. Better performance. Yada yada yada. I'm not looking to rebuild my engine and bore it out, just reasonably priced mod's to enhance the performance and enjoyment of my quad.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations you can provide.

Depending on what reasonable is to you I would get either an Aaen Torquer pipe, silencer and matching clutch kit.Or go with a Dynoport system and a white polaris primary clutch spring.I ran the Aaen on my 400 Sportsman and it was hot.Got a Dynoport on my wifes Scrambler and it is a good system too.

If I went with Dynoport I would get the pipe with the spark arrestor silencer because I tend to ride in national forest's quite often. Is that pipe loud or about the same as stock? What kind of performance increase would I see from the white Polaris primary spring and that pipe together? I usually ride trails and around town but in the winter I plow snow as well.

I havent heard one with a sparkarrestor but the plain one is as loud as most aftermarket silencers. So I would say with it you should be a little louder than stock but not much. And the white spring would be perfect.

It looks like the primary spring and pipe are the first place I'll start with mod's. Will I need to rejet after adding a new pipe; more specifically the Dynoport one? Any suggestions on suspension for a better ride? I have stock tires right now but I plan on getting new tires and wheels.

Thanks for the help.
