Ive heard alot of talk about the HO and and considering one for my dad but does anyone know about the 400 or in actuality the sp425 as it should be named. I dont think it has EBS ? and powerwise how does it compare the last years 500.

I just got a 400 SP last week. I'm very happy with it. I test drove a 2000 500 SP and it is quicker but harder to steer. My wife noticed that right away. I would think the HO is even quicker and benefits from the new steering improvements. More power is always a good thing.

Is the 425 engine that is being put into the sp400 the same engine used in the 425 magnum and the 425 expedition? Or was it redesigned. My 98 magnum has the 425 and I have been really impressed with it. It runs very smooth, has good power, and has never given me any trouble. The atv can sit for weeks and I turn it over and it starts right away. If the sp400 has the same engine, it will be a good one.

you can add EBS if it does not come with it, and it should be the best in the 400 class by far, the awesome 2001 SP with a 425.

Honda calls 329cc a 350,a 229cc a 250 and a 439cc a 450 but polaris makes a 425cc and calls it a 400? Talk about different marketing strategies.

I think it is the same engine that is in the 425 expedition. I think they added a counter balance to the 400 SP. This is my first quad and I was a little worried how it would move all that weight but it impressed me with its smooth power.
