SP400 is only a week old but every time I start it cold I have to turn the idle up.Once it warms up I have to turn it back down. The chock is working. My first liquid cooled is this normal.

Just sounds like a typical 2 stroke in winter temps, Try warming it up a little with the choke on then back it off, try to keep the idle in a set position, that should help.

check your choke cable..i found when running the machine below say 40 degrees mine wouldnt idle at all..i found the choke cable actually was out of adjustment(too loose)..underneath the left plastic panel the cable has an adjuster, try putting it so theres about an 1/8" of play in it and try it out..just follow the cable down and youll find an adjuster under a rubber boot and just take up the slack. the engine in our machines are the same..let me know if it works, good luck
