Default Water in the Intake on my Preddy

I never thought about this but I figure I would pose the question. I was doing some riding last weekend and went through some fairly medium sized mud puddles and when I was cleaning the quad afterwards, I noticed I had a pool of muddy water in my filter box. I am using a Rath K&N Intake and since the air filter is not “sealed”, there is a chance of water entering into both the intake and the crankcase via the vent hose. I was wondering if any of you guys have run into this. I know I was riding most of the day like that not know and she did hesitate slightly. I just thought it was because I was riding at a higher altitude that normal and my carb was not properly jetted but it could have been because I was sucking water through my filter. I know I need to change my oil in case it was contaminated but is there anything I need to do? Thanks for your help.

changing the oil would do it, but if yur riding in higher elevation, you should change the jet. how much water was in the box? if some got into the carb, you shoould drain the float bowl also.

I usually don’t ride in that area so I won’t worry about rejetting. I will change the oil and drain the float.
