Default Model Years and differences between 2004 & 05 Sportsman 700 EFI

Got a couple quick questiosn. What generation is my 2005 Sportsman 700 EFI, and would a 2004 manual for the same ATV cover MY 2005? If not, what differences would there be.

Thanks folks,

~Perez

It's considered a 'MY '05' and is quite a bit different than the '04. From a mechanical stand point the disassembly and trouble shooting would be similar, but '05 changes quite a bit such as front suspension, front drive axles, some of the wiring, fender & rack assemblies, etc.

Thanks much.

That answered my question. I was looking at a 04 repair manual, and wanted to find out if would over my current year.

Going from sport quads (Yamaha) to this utility quad is a big difference, but its the one I should have purchased in the first place. That raptor was such a waste of money..

Thanks again,

Corey
