800 Sportsman Finally delivered
To all,
Thanks for the responses.
As far as the shipping goes the Army shipped it for me, I am authorized a certain amout of weight to ship my personal items overseas with me so I do not know the cost of the shipment. The time to get it here was about three months it shipped at the end of March and it arrived at the end of June. I bought the tires from a local dealer here and they cost me approx 87 Euro dollars which is a little over $100 a piece. I know Maxxis makes a street type tire but you cannot buy it in the USA. I have checked all the places I could find to no avail. If you want to see what I am talking about go to this address on ebay (it is in German but you should be able to see what I am talking about tires and wheels
A quick hint, "tires=reifen" in German and "Felgen=wheels" I hope this helps any more questions you might have I would be glad to answer.
Take care,
Jef

I Like the look of those rear tires... those are sweet
I do have one question. How would I go about balancing those tires, the center does not have a hole in it so you cannot put it on a modern wheel balancer. Is there any other way to balance them? When I get up to about 50 MPH it really starts to vibrate.
Thanks,
Jef

I know there is an alternate way to balance tires, I just don't know what it is. The modern wheel balancers allow you to put your wheel on the machine and after spinning the tire it will tell you where to put the weights. In order to put the wheel and tire assembly on the balancing machine the center must be open. the new pol. Alum. wheels do not have an open center, therefore you cannot put it on the machine to balance the tires. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jef
