explorer goes back home
#1
Well I have about had it with my 99 explorer 4004x4. I bought it in march of this year and it will be going back to the shop its home because it has been there more than 50% of the time I have had it. Do you all think there is any chance of polaris giving me my money back or giving me a new bike I just got it out of the shop last friday after it had been there 5 and a half weeks and it ran fine half way through my ride but after that went right back to its old ways It will cut off on you in a heart beat and not start back up for about 15 minutes and then cut off every 5 minutes after that. This is not the only problems I have had with it 4x4 has gone out twice and is iffie now. Speed ometer haha their have been 3 of those, chains, sprokets, transmission, wheel sensors, brakes, you name it it has broke I have had if sorry guys just had to vent

Sorry to hear about all of your problems. It sounds to me like your dealer isn't getting the problems fixed. Start emailing or calling polaris and telling them specifically about the dealer repairs and the problems you are having and hopefully they will make things right. I think your dealer should be able to fix things faster than taking five weeks and should be able to fix it right the first time.

CALL Polaris, be polite, and explain your dissatisfaction. Have every repair documented, and listed in front of you, as well as serial number. The cutting off could be ignition, OR fuel pump/vapor lock. Guess I'd do a little "digging" of my own to see where the problem is.
Be sure the gas tank vent isn't plugged/pinched!
