Default Carb hose connection

Hello all. 2002 Scrambler 500 4x4. There is a clear thin hose (3/16") coming from the bottom of the float bowl. Its about 8 inches long. Should it connect somewhere or does it just lay loose on the engine? It might be a vent house for the float bowl, although I am unsure. Thanks.

That hose is the float bowl overflow line!
It should also have a "back flow" device in it!?
Just make shure that it has a good place to drain if nessasary,
and trail junk can not get in or clog it!
