Default Top end job Stuck c-clip

I am replacing the piston in my wife's sport 400 with a wiseco piston. I had replaced pistons in the past, but the c-clips on both sides of the pin are really stuck in there. What is the easiest way to remove the c-clip?

Thanks - Davesp

I just got done doing a top end job on my friends 400 sport and I used a sharp pointed screw driver. Just make sure you wear some safty glass because it can fly back and hit you in the eye.

I have a pick I usually use. Just like and Awe. I still cant get it to budge on either side. I put some liquid wrench on it to see if in the morning it will loosen up enough to get my pick under it.

What ever you do just put a rag down into the bottom end. Don't want that little clip getting down there when it decideds to fly off.

That's right, I stuff a full size shirt all down in there and around when working on the top end anytime.

Dave if your replacing the piston then dont be afraid to take that pick and jam it beside the clip. Just hold it good from the backside but please dont slip and poke your hand
