I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. My friend dropped off a machine that was his friends. Its an older polaris. 2 stroke 4x4. He didn't know the year or the model. The problem it has, he was riding it and the temp light came on so he got it towed home. It is blasting fluid out of the top of the radiator. If you disconect the hose coming from top of head, he said it ran fine. Now he didn't run it for more than a min like this he was just trying to figure out the problem. Then he blew air threw the hose and it went through the whole system and in to the radiator. Is the pump shot? and it is not circulating? Why so much pressure?

I would think if the system is building pressure immedeately when started it may be the head gasket. Try to put pressure on the radiator with a pressure tester and see if the cylinder is building pressure. You can test the cylinder at the spark plug hole. Or if you have access to equipment that reads combustion gasses when running then put it near the open radiator and see if the head gskt is leaking or maybe a cracked cylinder. Good luck.
