Hey guys I have a 2000 sp 500 and the motor started cutting out like it does when in reverse when going foward,also now the override doesnt work in reverse???Any help would be great thanks [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

Maybe the shifter sensor is bad? Does the correct light come on for each range? (N for neutral, etc..)

 

i would guarantee it is the shift sensor too, mine has done this and got it replaced and problem fixed. i think it is due to the sensor being plastic and not too well protected from things. PB500

This shift sensor would it be the switchs in the shifter handle box ??I have a polaris service manual and I see some micro switchs there no metion of a sensor .[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

if i am not mistaken, it is one of the two plugs that are right in front of the rear brake rotor, i may be wrong, but i think that is it.
