my used 2000 sportsman 500's speedometer is all scratched up and you can barely see in it. Is there anyway to change it out and replace it with a newer speedometer say from a 2004 or 2005?

 

The newer Sportsman's use a total different speedo its bigger than yours and uses different sensors. I tried to put a 04.5 speedo in my 03 and it would not work. Have you ever tried some stuff calld Novus plastis scratch remover? That stuff is the greatest I have used it many times on different thing and believe me it works.
