Default 800 EFI Muffler Issue

While giving my new 800 the once over I noticed my left muffler (when viewed from the rear) is actually touching the crossbar below it. The right side has about a 1/4" clearance. I tried loosening the clamp on the crossover pipe and moving the left muffler but really couldn't get it to budge. Anybody else notice this on their 800 or am I just special? Thanks

you know, it doesn't take rocket science to notice the exhaust hitting the frame.

i think your DEALER did a lousey job and should have noticed the issue when they set-up your $9K ATV!

i would bring it right back and have the Dealer repair it......at the same time have them check the torque on your lugnuts. i'm sure they didn't!

My 800 had the same issue with the left muffler, I noticed it at the dealer and had them correct it before I brought it home.....

So how much room do you have below your mufflers? Did you watch them fix it? What did they do? I noticed that there is a frame part above the muffler also that doesn't leave much room for adjusting. My dealer is over an hour away and I'd like to fix it myself. Thanks

I didn't watch them adjust it, picked it up a couple days after I first looked at it. The left muffler has approx 3/16" clearance above the swaybar, you may have to tweak the hanger rods on the muffler to raise it up. Make sure it isn't too far in where the frame bolts will rub on the muffler body, mine was hitting the bolts and the swaybar.
