I broken one of the cheap plastic shields that covers the front CV boot on my Scrammy. Ordered another plastic one for $11, but dealer suggested the obvious of getting something metal. He looked through catalogs but couldn't find anything. Some show a-arm skids, but they don't wrap up to the front to shield the CV. One source had the perfect thing, but it only showed working on 2003 and prior models. He called them and they stated it wouldn't work on an 04.

Anyone know a source for a good shield/skid for the CV? Anyone know why one for an 03 wouldn't work on an 04??

The other thread is located here. I've kinda dropped the ball on this. I took a bunch of pics to e-mail the guy though, just haven't sucked them out of the camera yet. He's making diamondplate guards for the Sportsman but was interested in making them for the Scrambler as well.
