Default Questions on the 06 SP

I wanted to know if anyone here knows of what improvements have been made to the 06 Sp lineup. Did they fix the melting plastic problem, or the machine from engaging into 4 wheel drive when 2 wheel drive is selected. What other improvements did they make, or is it just the same as an 05. I like how the X2 gets a 6 gal. gas tank, and the 800 still has a measely 4.13 gal. tank.

Thanks for any help.

pol800efi

I am in the market right now, and I am wondering if I am better off with an 06 or an 05, I have seen on a lot of forums the problem with the AWD system and was wondering if it was fixed. Also was wondering if they addressed the melting plastic issue, but spyder6 answered that.
If you guys where in the market now, would you get an 05 or 06.

Thanks

For me it would be an 06 based of years of dealing with Polaris. I allways buy the first model and see at least some improvemnts on the next.

pol800efi,

How much range do you get on a tank of gas with that 800, I hear some people are only getting 9 mpg, that don't sound to good.

I have a couple of groops that I ride with, when I ride with the extreem groop I get aprox 40 miles from a tank (10MPG) the other groop I get about 80 miles from a tank (20MPG) I ride anywhere from 5000 to 11,000 feet in altitude with both groops. At the sand dunes it seems to get 45 miles from a tank no matter how I ride.
