Default Tb 250 overheating?

Has anybody had trouble with their trailblazer 250 overheating with headmilling and/or other mods. Mine seemed to be running hot so i replaced it with the stock carb and it helped a bit.

Try to add more fuel in your jetting, sounds lean.

I'd probably go big enough to make it run crappy, then back out till it runs sweet, pilot, needle, & main all should be rejetted for what you've done.

with a 150 main wtih a pipe and porting your lucky u didnt stick a piston or a ring yet. im runnin a rcr pipe with azbadboyz porting and a 180 main in the stock carb. this is a with a twinair filter with no airbox snorkel. i would go up to a 190 and see how it runs and back off a size until the bog or "gurgle" clears itself up. what is your needle set at?

I believe i went up one notch from stock position for the needle. WHenever i stop hold in the brake and then gun it holding the brake it always bogs out on me. What should be the correct needle settings if i had gone to a 180 or 190 main jet.

theres no way for me to give u an exact needle spec but i would go to one position below stock(richer) and go leaner till it cleans itself up just like your gonna do with the main. so do that and put in a 190 and go down in size untill it clears up and you should be good.

By the way mudmaster, how does your trailblazer fair against scramblers. Mine stays with a 500 on bottom and then i get wasted until i hit top end and then i can hang with him descent.

ive never raced a scrambler but against a 350 warrior its right with it untill about 4th or 5th gear then he pulls away.

Thanx for all the help. I probably sound like an idiot when it comes to atvs. My motorhead skills are in the snowmobile department.
