Default Thinking of buying a Scrambler..

I'm thinking of buying a Scrambler, and probably a used one. I'm wondering what I should know, what years to avoid, all that good stuff. I know that there are two stroke and four stroke versions. I'm probably looking at getting a 500HO version since the two stroke ones are quite old at this point.

Any advice? Or do they have major quality issues I should know about?

I had a 2000 scrambler and was very happy with it. It ran strong and really went through the mud. I had the 500 HO. It really is the best of both worlds.

I'd see if you can find an 05 because the orange 06s make me wanna puke. Other than that, buy it, beat it, love it. Check my pics for the accessories that you should go ahead and order when you buy the bike, that way it can go on the finance tab and not out-of-pocket. Just some basics that you'd probably enjoy. The water-tight storage cylinder for sure (silicon the neoprene gasket in place when you get it) and the back rack I don't know how I'd do without.
