Amazing, isnt it? I think the retardedly low tow ratings are because a 700 pound atv cannot safely bring a 2000#+ trailer to a stop.

Just like a jeep wrangler SWB is rated @ 2000 # towing, while a cherokee with the same drivetrain is 6000#. The jeep is too short, the trailer would jackknife it in a corner.

With our two-place covered sled trailer behind our sportsman 400, you can lock up all four tires on pavement for about 15 feet even if you are just going 10-15 MPH (with the trailer empty).

Hey, I wish I was there, I'd love to play Kill the Quads with yous! I want to see how badly our new 500 would smoke our 400... can't seem to find an open enough place.

jeff, what'd you do to your quad?

It's a winch accessory kit.

As for jetting, I've never messed with/changed it. I ran all winter in the (really) cold with no problems ( a few weeks with -30*F temps).

Dealer said that there was a TSB out on my 04 400 having the wrong main jet installed, and that they'd check it next time I was in. But no problems, so I said no worries.
