MY buddy has decided to take the plunge and buy his first atv..... a 800 twin. He got a few prices from a couple of dealers and I told him to let me ask the experts on this forum before he made the jump. I am not familiar with the Polaris bike as far as prices and performance mods or problems go and any help would be appreciated as I will probably wrench on this thing for him.

 

hes going to kill himself on that 800 if thats his first bike, you can get a 800 out the door at Polaris of Chattinooga (spelling?) for $6800

 

The 800 is a great bike. It will be a big jump for someone who is buying their first. Polaris of Chatanooga is a good place to start. They have some of the best prices around.

 

Yeah I know that's alot of bike but he is 6'6" and weighs 275# but he is definately not the hot-rod type. My prairie 700 was my first bike and I am the Hot rod type but you gotta use a little common sense I guess.

By the way .... anyone got a number for Polaris of Chatanooga?

 

Nevermind about the number I got it.
The local dealers are asking between $8100 and $8400 so if this dealer in Tn. can sell them for that price then it will be worth the road trip.
