I have a 2003 polaris trailboss 330 and we were riding this past weekend and my girlfriend started noticing a sort of grinding noise coming from the gearbox then it stoped for a while when i rhode it and started agin later in the day.

any ideas what could be causing the problem? I am thinking of tearing into the gear box myself not sure of difficulty level feedback wld be great?

 

1st make sure there is fluid in there..I had a 325 trailboss & the gasket started to leak so I called the polaris dealer to get a price on the work. BIG job they said, "didn"t sound easy". Allso if you add oil to it make sure it's synthetic the service guy told me thats what polaris puts in it from the factory. Good luck.
