Starksrebel,

I also have to disagree. The Honda motor is very reliable. Go to Rinconriders and ask the 3000 members how reliable the Honda motors are. I mud mine and submerge it in water over the seat alot and never had a problem with it. It has a snorkle, vent line mods and thats it. NEVER a problem! I have only had it a year and have put 1500 miles on it with not one problem. I cant say that for my SP600. My sp600 has 2300 miles, 3 front diffs, 2 axles, numerous axle boots, speedo problems, too many 4wd problems to count, suspension bushings out the wazoo. Yes its an awsome ride, great in the mud, very comfortable. Not good on technical tight trails. To replace or even work on the front diff you have to disassemble most of the front end to even get the diff out. Changing spark plugs are a pain. Changing oil is a pain. Getting axles out are a pain. NOT easy to work on at all.

The Rincon I have has been great. Very easy to work on if needed. Not as good in the mud as the sp but at least it stays together for me. Wheelies on demand, very nimble in tight technical trails, plenty of low end power to pull my 3k lbs boat around the yard.

As for the 500 calss I think the 500 ho is the best you can get but once you get to the twins there are better more powerful quads. Plus you cant really compair an IRS to a swing arm axle.

IMO the only thing the Cat has going for it is ground clearance. My friend has an 06 500 and it rides rough, and is WAYYYYYYYYY underpowered

The Polaris diff lock is better because you never have to think about it, it's always on. With the Cat if you forget to lock it in you might as well be riding a Honda. The 2" reciever is nice, and 10" of suspension is only good if the springs actually move. Whenever I've ridden my buds it feels like I'm riding on a rock, and the adjuster tabs keep breaking off.
