Default Engine putts!! HELP

Owner of a 05 Phoenix (wonder why too) the engine started doing this on last few rides.

Start off with no problems at all...idle perfect, choke closed, nothing.....15-30 minutes into every ride with mid & high speed the engine feels as if there is no power and there is this jerking feeling (or missing) I floor it and the engine responds by not revving high but sputters to mid range and stays there. I have done the following:

1) Installed new air cleaner.......nada
2) Opened carb drain hole to drain out gas (water??)......nada
3) Installed new plug.....nada (old plug was blacker than black)
4) Checked for loose wires in front....again nothing

ANY HINTS, TIPS would be GREAT!!

Thank you in advance

Default Engine putts!! HELP

I'm gonna guess you may have something wrong in the belt housing. How does the engine rev in nuetral? You vented the intake through the belt housing. It may not be a good idea. That housing will get very warm. That may explain why it take 15 to 30 minutes. Time enough for heat to buil in the belt housing.

Default Engine putts!! HELP

I actually am in the process right now converting everything back to the factory setup. There was WAY too much dirt, dust and foreign materials inside the belt cover.

Maybe that will fix it?? I will have to keep the group posted its totally possible since the snorkel was added in the early spring when it was cold and now we are in the "dog days" of summer.......

The black plug is telling you it's too rich, it needs more air or less fuel...
