Ahh sad news. We sold our Wrangler last night. Wasn't working out for my mom. Got her a Saturn VUE, we wanted a liberty but they were too $$$. I miss the Jeep already .

I think the "sad news" is that you bought a Saturn. We had a terrible time with that company and the dealerships. I hope you have better luck. Say HI to mom.

Lol, will do.

i dunno. The jeep guy knew very little. THe saturn place was great. They stress their "no-haggle" prices. The kid was ver laid back, and the no-haggle is annoying (knowing you can't lower the bottom line), but also nice because you don't have to worry about fighting them. Also got a lot for our old jeep. I don't like that we got a Saturn, but it seems like a nice car.

Even though classified as a midsize SUV, it's the smallest car I've ever driven. I kind of like driving it (although I'm sure I'd enjoy any car), but still prefer being up high.

And it has a Honda engine and Japanese tranny (window sticker says 36% parts from Japan, 64 US and Canada). I know Honda engines are dependable, and even my buy-american dad is mostly happy he got a good engine but in an American car. Although he'd prefer a 100% North American sticker, as would I.

This is one of the good things about the Vue because of the motor being a Honda and correct if I am wrong but I think my neighbor told me his Vue with the Honda motor has 250hp.

The Chevy and the Pontiac versions of the Vue do not get the Honda motors.

Yep, 250 hp on the VUE 6. Given I've never driven a car really, it seems pretty peppy. Much better than the V6 Liberty we test drove. The tranny on the VUE is very nice, shifts hard and fast, like a short-throw standard. Much much better than the one on our Ram (combination of torque management/slow tranny makes the shifts worse than a bus).

I'm sure you'll be happy. We had one of the "dog year" saturns and it was a nightmare. One dealer told my daughter the car was unsafe to drive. Got a second opinion and there was nothing wrong. I paid for a defective taillight and when the recall came thru, they wouldn't reimburse the full amount. That's just a short story of a long list. now I'm mad again. I don't wish GM a happy new year.

Well, we've had the same experiences with all of our past GM's: the little things don't hold up great (interior plastic, etc) but they run very well and for a long time. Just our experience.
