you can go up to right hand side where it says "private messages" and do a search or if you can find his reply, just look to the right of the message where the "padlock" icon is and it will say "send user a private message"

I agree totally and conspiracy theories abounded at the time that he was put up to it by new govt John Howard [The Rodent] - it was said he greatly feared the "men with guns" aspect, given that only he knew at that time how bad he was going to screw blokes for next 10 years. So it gave Rodent the excuse to ban guns in Oz

I have to say there is about as much validity to the theory as Michael Moore's theory re Bush in Fahrenheit 9/11 movie [ie IMHO a HUGE amount]

 

If Kerry would have gotten in he would have extended the supposed "assault weapons ban", which sunset because we had a president smart enough not to extend it, and he would have expanded it to mention an additional 52 firearms specifically. The added restrictions would have made it so the only firearm legal to own or produce in the USA would have been a single shot rim fire under .25 cal. I'm not sure I'm remembering the correct caliber, but with the restrictions it would have been a single shot .22 rifle.
