I just picked up a Trailblazer 250 for my daughter and still need to do the Bill of Sale. I was told it is a 2002. I cant find the VIN anywhere. Stickers are all gone. I looked about 4" behind the left front a-arm . There is a Barcode w/ some numbers on the pull start recoil but thats all I can find.

Do i need to take off the drive belt housing or the plastics to get at it?

It's located on the frame. If your sitting on the machine it will be on your left side in the front about 1 inch forwards of the left fender. The tenth number is the year number. It will have 17 digits.

 

Thanks, I ended up sanding on the frame and found it. I knew it had to be there. It was just filled in w/ paint. I thought just the plastic was repainted. Now I know my 02 has had a complete paint job.
