Polaris AGL substitute
#11
I have been servicing Polaris ATV's since 1992. I use nothing but Castrol Syntec 5W50 oil in everything that does not require 90 weight. I use it in the 4 stroke engines and all of the gear boxes. I also use it in the front locking hubs.
I have never had a problem with anything that uses this oil. Some of the 4 stroke engines used to have problens with the cams wearing out quickly. I have never seen this happen with Castrol Syntec.
ATF does not come close to having the lube qualities of synthetic motor oil.
When I buy a new Polaris the first thing I do when I get it home it drain all the fluids and replace it with the Castrol.

I'm not sure, thats from another members post that i saved.
I talked to a few people at Auto parts stores and they said there is an additive for the diff's.
Possibly through GM.
