Default Outlaw vs. Rappy EFI

Hey guys. I just read the review of the Outlaw in the new 4 Wheel Action, they were raving over it (but Dirt Wheels/4 Wheel Action integrity is lower than s&*t). I've been watching the reviews of the Rappy 700 over here on these forums, and I know a shootout will eventually happen for these two. Will the Outlaw's new chassis trump the EFI and aluminum framed Rappy? I feel this is a major step for the sport, and will be copied over the new 4-5 years by all the majors (just like the Sportsman in 95). As far as I'm concerned, this is the first step towards the traditional idea that quads have to be based on bike designs. Gotta give it to Polaris for having the *****...

Although I do still question the Pols reliability, and I just love Yamaha all the time. But in the end, I think the Polaris is THE new sport quad of the year in most mags. I predict it to win most shootouts...

Anyone else?

(I also posted this in the Polaris as well to see their reaction)

P.S. Did anyone else notice the MAJOR error on the cover (idiots in that mag).

in a drag, the rappy is deffenetly going to win, a pred TLD was a little faster than a raptor 660 carb, so this should be a little faster than the outlaw, BUT with the outlaws suspention it will keep with and ahead of the raptor in my opinion, cept on stuff like dunes or whatever

I agree with Spiddy, the raptor in a drag but on the trails the Outlaw SHOULD have the advantage, but we will see.
I like what Yami has done to the rappy and YFZ, no more sitting on their lorels.
Now do something to the Grizz!!!!! 5 years running gezzzzz.

i dont think the outlaw will win. WHY? becouse its a polaris and thats the only reason. i too think that the irs is a forward movement in the sport quad world. i wish it was efi and aout 40 lbs lighter too.

too heavy imo. if they old predators werent so heavy, they go and add 40 or so more pounds. I give them the ground clearance, but i just dont like the way irs handles, i rode a king quad, and you can really tell a difference in solid axle and independent. The raptor should also have the advantage in drag racing.
Im curious to see how they compare in the trails tho. because this is all that i ride.

They didn't market the Outlaw for MX so weight is not much of a issue. It only gained 24lbs over the Pred, so considering what was added, they did very well. Raptor owners say there heavy, but what's really funny is when wet weight were made in the shootouts, the Raptor came in 7lbs heavier then the Predator. So Raptor owners should not complain about weight.

The OUTLAW DOES NOT HAVE A SPORTMAN IRS!! it is different the whole set up is rolled under more (another words it not straight) it is called PRO-IRS. This quad is for real!! Even top polaris guys at the test ride i was on said that the predator would have a hard time keeping up with the outlaw, because to outlaw handles better. Also I hear that MATT SIMELEY WILL RACE THE OUTLAW IN A FEW GNCC RACE THIS YEAR. even he feels it may be better then the predator. The weight is higher then the predator by 19 pounds. which isn't all that much when it puts out 50 hp stock.also those are fox shock on it not some cheepy junk.I could go on all day about it's beniffits but i don't feel like typing that much and this a post about which atv will be better.

Like I said over in the yamaha forum, I don't what to make waves hear or anywhere ,I'll wait for the mags.

Also the raptor has efi and the outlaw dosen't YET! but I hear it will soon.Remember,,This outlaw is going to be limited for the frist year, that is what I've been told by top polaris guys.(EFI WILL BE COMING FOR THE OUTLAW AND THE PREDATOR)

Good point GE4x4.

ATV Sport said even though its heavier than the Pred its still faster and better on the trails.
