if the grizz does every bit of seventy then the sc does every bit of 80.

my truck if registared for 120 but it is screamin at about 96, it'll never see 120 unless it's dropped out of a plane.

 

WIscrambler, get the HPD if the law allows it. It is the best move you could make on your quad...trust me I know! Tons funner now.

I have read articles that say 65-68 mph. I know that my SP at 58 or so a Scrambler will go right by me.

Spooners about 60 miles So. of Iron River. If ya ride the Tuscobia they just opened up a trail that runs outta Minong Wi to my area. Burnett Co. I am the VP of the Turf & Tundra ATV/Snowmo club. We worked fro over 3 years to get approval! I won't even go into the garbage we had to go through with the DNR!

Here in WI it is illegal to modify your exausts. They really clamped down on sleds this past couple years. ATV's are hard enough to get trails PLEASE PLEASE don't ride with piped ATV's. Chances are you will get away with it but the landowner we faught with to sign a trail easements will just close us down!

I LOVE LOUD PIPES!! Too bad others don't and they are the ones that count.

On a sled if you even have what looks to be a different pipe or silencer the DNR can write a ticket on the spot. There is no protocol for any tests as of yet but that does not mean you can't get a ticket. Ya it sucks but thats the law.

Even if the pipe you have reads LOWER on a DB meter but sounds different than stock you can be issued a ticket!

Thsi is the head DNR office in WI I don't know if Tom Thoresons still doing this stuff but they can help you along with any DNR thats versed in ATV/Snowmo's.

Guys it also is illegal to ride in swamps lakes and any other wetlands. We lost a trail a couple years back in Iron River not just because ATV's but trucks were running through and even washing their trucks in the river!! (BattleAxe trail.

PLEASE Please use your heads and if ya see some fool on a piped rig tell him the problems they cause!

I never said that a Grizzly would spank a Scamble.....I know a Scrambler can spank the Grizz!I was just saying that the Grizz will do 70mph.

 

One word: IMPOSSIBLE!

 

Just a couple extra words without trying to be pi$$y: Some car spedometers go up to 240 kph when the car can only hit about 190...They sure will not make an ATV speedo that only goes up to 50mph for a quad that does 60 mph...seems logical to me.

I ride with a Banshee that really flies...even he tops out at about 70 mph give or take a few. It's damn fast but if a Grizzly can do 70 mph, Zorro's shee would hit 90 mph!!!

 

Too bad about the tough laws. I guess we are still fairly lucky up here...shouldn't last too long!

That sounds so unfair though...for a free country.
