Hello,
I have a chance to buy a friend of mines 1999 Trail Blazer 250, he said he would sell it to me for $500... it has been sitting for a while, And it runs, but doesnt really move, like something is keeping it from moving, i posted on here about the problem and you all suggested to check the weights and such... this is going to be my 1st quad, i ride dirtbikes, but want a quad to put around on when i go camping and what not... anyways, I guess my question would be is 500 bucks a good deal?? The overall condition of the quad, is "Fair" some normal wear and tear... any info on owning one of these machines would be much appriciated... thanks!!

Sounds like a fun project. Probably alot of labor and cleaning, carb, clutch, etc. A "good" 99' tb probably would sell for about $1,500. It really depends on what you want to end up with. If it's just a campground quad, it's probably worth it.

Ya, Its just going to be something to ride around when ever I am taking a break from my CRF 450... so I dont need anything to fancy.... PLeae eveyone be patient I will probably have a lot of questions once i start tearing it down and restoring it, I will post some pics of it when i get chance... whats a good place with a decent price where I can pick up a service manual for this thing. and a OEM parts place... thanks!!!

I don't think you could go wrong buying it for $500 since it does run.
Those older two strokes are simple and easy to work on. The only real pain in the *** thing about them is repacing the starter.

There is so much info in this forum that you might not need a service manual, just do a search and you'll probably find what you need. There are alot of oem websites. Some have parts diagrams. If it's just little stuff, you're better off going to a local dealer and you can see what you are getting. Nothing worse than ordering something and paying shipping and getting the wrong thing. Been there.

i think that that would be a good deal, but the 250 realy doest go that good preaty underpowed like Jayblazer said but it being fully automatic it is a good putt putt bike and will still have alitte snap since its a 2-stroke
