Default Bumper lights

Just curious, I read where people remove the stock sportsman lights and upgrade to 55 wt. driving lights from any store, but I've yet to find a set of lights that have the mounting brackets on the sides of the housing like the stock lights. What do you do ? Drill into the plastic below the square opening for the new light bracket? I too am not to impressed with the preformance of the stock lights or the cost of new bulbs and might consider the upgrade. thanks

You will not find any good lights that mount on the side like the stock lights.

You will have to drill different holes.

Your system will pull two 55 watt lights without a problem but not two 100 watt lights.

Make sure your new lights have 55 watt bulbs.

I use the stock lower lights for low beam and two aftermarket 55 watt lights mounted on the front rack for high beam.

the 55 watt lights i put on my sportsman i bought at walmart. i used a metal-bracket from homedpot to mount the lights. i did not have to drill any holes. i have the three headlight mod and with all the lights on it really drains the battery.
