Default Scrambler 400 Starting problem

My 2000 Scrambler 400 4x4 wont start using the push button starter. It starts right up with the pull cord and the ignition key and kil switch both work to turn off scrambler after pull started. I got a new Siloniod thinking it was that and replaced it but it still dont do anything? Its a brand new battery with a full charge. It doesnt even make a click noise when pushing the start button. The lights are not coming on anymore either unless its started with the pull cord. Please help? I guess its the starter?

Default Scrambler 400 Starting problem

Thanks for the help. I figured just hoping something simple and cheaper. Any suggestions on where to buy a starter? I looked on ebay and didnt see anything. I got my silionoid (spelling sucks) on ebay for $27. Any tips on removing installing the starter? I have the polaris book for it so that is some help.

if it was your starter that is bad i would think the lights would still work with the key on,im thinking you have a bad connection somewhere..

I was thinking the same thing on that just now because the lights did work before I put on the solenoid. Maybe I put them on backwards on the solenoid? Is there fuses anywhere on the scrambler. I never seen any?

Thewayout420, you were correct on the wireing. I just reversed the the cables on the solenoid and the lights came back on with the ignition key. It still dont start though? it doesnt click or anything. Whats the differene in the starters with gold compared to standard?
