i have a 99 scramber 500 4x4 and one of the yokes on the front end going to the wheel is getting really loose on the splines. do you think its the yoke or the spline on the shaft. im getting really worryied about because there is alot of slack in it and its just getting looser. any respose would be great.

One would think the yoke would wear before the shaft. The only way to be sure is to pull that baby off and have a look.

it's the yolk, same thing happened to mine. the shaft was fine on mine I just replaced the whole shaft cause i'm lazy and didn't want to pull the u-joint apart. your u-joint will probably be bad so you better replace it it too. I think dennis kirk carries them.
oem part numbers should be 3260104 for th u-joint and 3260101 for the yolk. polarisoemparts.com prices are 21.87 for the u-joint and 58.45 for the yolk. napa makes a u-joint that works for 9.99 but i can't remember the part number
