Quad Magazine review of the Outlaw
#1
They gave the Outlaw a very good review. It wasn't a first test review, but what they got out of it when they were invited by Polaris. They compared it to the Predator as a measuring stick.
One said " As soon as I hopped on this beast, I felt the IRS advantage-- an entirely grippier ride then the Predator. It's so different that it's not at all suprising that Matt Smiley is waiting for the off season to adapt to the cusier ride."
Another quote " the best anaolgy I can give on the Outlaw's IRS factor is that it's like trail riding with the handeling of a Porsche 911 and the cushy suspension of your grandparents Caddy" He continued by saying, it's so comfortable and fast that I repetedly found myself-- without even knowing it getting into hairy situations then my riding abilities would allow me to survive on nearly any other machine.
They also again say it has 50HP with added torque. They said there will be a full review on how it compares to other 06 models.
They also had some real nice close-ups of the Outlaw, so I was able to see a few more differences between my Pred and the Outlaw. First thing I noticed is the Outlaw comes stock with some real nice radiator air scoops. Shiny just like the plastic. The over flow bottle is on the other side to. The oil tank is totally different, more square then round. The rear fenders have a support bars under them to help the plastic from sagging. Most Pred owners know about this.. So no sagging fenders on the Outlaw. I'm sure there are more, but that is what I could see from there pics. Overall they liked it a lot and I can't wait for there full test as this was a prototype.

I can't wait for some shootouts. So far it sounds like this thing is the real deal and we will be seeing everyone else scramble to put out competitive product. If Smiley starts winning next year with this thing, Polaris may have a hard time keeping up with demand. BTW, which mag was this review in?

Actually it was Quad Magizine. It's a brand new Magazine that just came out. So far in the first 2 mags that they have produced, them seem very acurate and non biased. Very high quality.
