Hi all, great forum!

I am new to the whole ATV thing although I grew up riding motocross, I recently purchased my son an scrambler 50, he loves it and is doing fine so it looked like so much fun I got myself an Trailblazer. So far I love it as well, it will do everything I want and seems like a great ride.

I am wanting some info on maintence stuff. What to look out for and any suggestions. I keep a close watch on the oil, I hit all the grease zerts occasionally, I watch the chain tension so do I have it covered?

What I am really curious about is do I have to be carefull of the front wheel bearings and water? Thought on here somewhere it said I did? Have they started installing sealed bearings in the front on the 2000 models?

Thanks all for the help and I look foreward to being a part of this board

if you go in deep water make sure you drain the starter.theres a little drainbolt on the bottom of it. the front wheel bearings should be fine, but it doesnt hurt to check them once in a while.

I, too, own a 00 Tblazer. If its under warranty, plan on taking it in for new rear brakes. (your dealer will hafta look into it). Also the lower steering support tends to loosen up )My rivets come loose and were drilled out and replaced with screws), and the front wheel bearings are starting to click and squeak, and are getting replaced by the end of the month (last week of warranty), and the yellow pre-filter on top of the "snorkel" gets dirty pretty easy. Other than that, its been a great wheeler. Enjoy!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of ATVing my name is scramdaddy and I will be your tour guide...
Just kinding. You made the right choice on going with POLARIS atv's you obviously have a smart brain between your ears.
I own a polaris and one of my regular maintenance checks is the oil pump, very basic fire up your machine and see if theres a visable trail of blue smoke coming out the tail pipe. If there is'nt you need to adjust it.
I cant really explain it to you how to adjust your oil pump but I know it's easier on yours then it is mine. Look up "oil pump" in your owners manual it will give you a good description there.
