Default Sport 400 slow taking off

hey guys-
I ran a drag race against an 04 SP700efi today and got smoked out of the hole. He had a good ATV length on me before I started to move and we both pinned it at the same time. I slowly caught him until top end where we were dead even. My mods are in my signature and my jetting is spot on. I have a couple thoughts on the problem: 1) I have stock clutching with the stock blue/green spring. 2) I have heard aftermarket reed valves cause a slight loss of power at low speeds. Anybody else have some thoughts on the issue?? What would cause the hesitation and what would fix it? Thanks.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

If you arent going to pipe it get you a green primary spring or if you dont want that high engagment go for a white.
