Ppope, I agree with you on that one. I have never been stuck on a SP400, SP500, or SP700. In fact, I don't think it would be real easy to intentionally get stuck unless the mud is so thick as to stick any machine.

I'm curious. I'm fairly new to ATV riding, a year and a half. How many of you are actually pulling two thousand pound sleds around
anyway? I mean, I see lots of trails and etc. that sure look like a heck of a lot of fun, but loading up a ton to just drag 100 just isn't exactly my idea of entertainment. In fact, I'd be a little concerned about my engine.

In the grand scheme of things, who really CARES??

Isn't the bottom line getting to where you want to go and back in one piece and without any major malfunctions?

Ok, if you are using an ATV for mostly work which includes pulling around one ton objects, well I guess you only have a couple of options but I think the wise man would use a full size pickup or tractor for this kind of work.

its just power demenstration, and you cant damage your motor by over pulling it, all you'd do is stall it out of it got too strenious

and quads like the Sportsman 800 are built to pull just over 1500 pounds from the factory, however, weve had some videos posted on here were SP800's have pulled well over 8000 pounds

Excellent point! I just don't understand the pissing matches between brand loyal ATVers.

well i would imagine so your eventually going to break soemthing from doing it repetedly, but letting off the clutch and stalling it is no different than bogging the motor out and stalling it

Correct, but remember there is alot ALOT more force exerted on the engine and drive train when bogging the engine

No duh sherlock.. add even more weight and it'll go even farther.. who do you think would win in a sled pull.. a 300lbs 500cc atv or a 600lbs 500cc atv.. more weight.. makes more traction.
Maybe you should look at the video again, the 2up Max did not go as far as the regular Outlander
