Hi guys. I am thinking real hard about buying a guys 03 pred 500 off Ebay. But I was hoping for some fast info about them. I need to know how reliable they are, what things go bad, what to look for when buying "other than the obvious. I already own 2 Hondas that I love to death and a 03 Bomb ds650 baja. I will have to drive about 3 hrs to see this thing so if it is in fair-good condition is it worth $2900? It has been rolled so it looks a little crooked and it is supposed to be from the roll over and only crooked plastic. Let me know what you guys think and what the problems are with these. if its been rolled you really need to check the frame and steering post to see it its all good if not i wouldnt bother with it

Yeh the 03 have tranny issues..and for what ever reason they STOPPED giving out the free tranny kit update last month. I know a guy that beats his 03 pretty hard and has sence 03 his is still holding up just fine. Matter of fact he races the same circuit as I do.

 

WELL GUYS i BOUGHT IT! Other than the fact that I will need to readjust the shocks, due to the fact that I only weigh 140 S/W. This thing rips. It is supposed to have 12.5-1 piston with a head mod with 1mm bigger valves and heavier valve springs and it has the pure sport polaris pipe. I think this will make a great quad. RUSS
