Default New Member - belt Question

Hey guys, I have a belt question for ya. A bunch of buddies and I were riding in Northern Michigan this weekend. I have a 2004 SP 600. I noticed I was getting some belt slippage. Is there a way to adjust the clutch weights to engage harder. I noticed my belt would slip until higher RPMs. Just to prove to myself I and a problem, I had one of my buddies park his SP 500 next to mine, on a 45 degree slope in sand. In high I slipped, he didnt. In low, I had alot more rpms than he did to start to move. Is there a way to adjust the springs for the weights to get more engagement, or should I buy a new belt.

Thanks alot, Jeff

i would try a new belt first, when the belts wear they get thinner and it sounds to me like you might need a new one. The first belt u replace if free

i thought dayco belts were just as good as pure polaris belts, they cost nearly the same price.
