Before I pick up my new, red, SP500HO, I was wondering about the stock tires. I am 270lbs, and I want to do a lot of mountain exploring. I want a tire to carry the weight plus have an all-a-round tread to go through the brush, rocks and fallen trees. I don't want to get new rims, at this time, so I was thinking about upgrading to the Spirder Trac tires. I would get a little more width front and rear. Any sugguestions?
Thanks.
Al

I would go for it in your place. When I ordered my Scrambler I had after-market tires put on right then, the dealer credited part of the stockers. If I remember right, the tires cost me about half-price with the credit. Not bad...

Spider Tracs look awesome. I saw a good review in a canadian ATV magazine a while back. I myself went for the Bearclaws on my Xplorer and they strongly resemble the Spider Tracs. It is worth every penny spent. Extra width is reasuring and traction is immensely augmented. Plus, staying with the stock size diameter keeps your performance up on the machine.

Good luck!

Mudrunners are great tires too. Deep lugs and easier steering.
