So I got to the point of finally checking the Valve clearance on an 05 polaris predator, and want to know that when you check it does the motor have to be at TDC? I had used the feeler gauge to check clearance between the Bucket and the Lobe. The fit felt pretty tight but not too tight between them. If I need to change the clearance how do I do that?

You have to replace the shims under the buckets to adjust clearance. You have to take your current clearances and the number that is stamped on the shims and use the chart in the manual to determine the shim that you will need. If you have a fax #, I can copy the chart and fax it to you.
