Hello, I am sort of new to the forums... I just purchased a Polaris '05 Sportman 700. I was looking for some upgrades that I should really focus my attetion on to get started. If any one would like to just list a couple of items. (tires, filters, etc.) Any information would be great since I am also sort of new to the sport.
Thanks,

Welcome you have a great machine, if you have the PXT tires you are all set there unless you plan on doing some MAJOR mudding.
A lot of people have done the 800 snorkle and dual pipe upgrade but if your happy with the performance dont bother. It will also get faster and better gas mileage when it gets broken in.
You could get a K&N air filter w/an outerwears to start.
check out everyones mods on their signatures and pictures in the profile, click on camera.

look on ebay for a winch. warn makes a kit for the 2005 sportsman with easy instructions. polaris want like 489 for it. i got mine for 330 with shipping. i upgraded my tires. the PXT are ok unless youre in the rocks. myself and a buddy both blew front tires. sidewalls seem too wimpy. good luck and welcome to the forum.

HEY! Wow, guys thanks alot. To be honest I just got on my phone and ordered myself a Winch. I appreciate all the help you guys gave. So from what I hear I should just leave the stock tires there good enough? I mean I do go mud bogging but nothing that is going to be over my quad or anything. Thanks Again.
