I AM IN MARKET TO BUY MY WIFE A NEW TRAILBLAZER (HOPE SHE USES IT). I WAS WONDERING WHAT OTHERS HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR NEW 2005 MODELS. THEY LIST FOR $3600.00 AND THEIR IS $100 REBATE. I KNOW THEIR IS LITTLE DEALER MARKUP IN THAT PRICE, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BUY IT FOR $3000.00 PLUS TAX. IS A $500.00 DISCOUNT TO MUCH TO ASK ON A YEAR END MODEL?

 

$500 is probably a little steep. I like the Polaris, but I'll never buy another new one or of any brand. Unless you like that new quad smell, you will lose alot when you drive it off the lot. Be patient and look for a used one. You'll end up with a couple accessories and a better deal. What happens if your wife doesn't drive it? You'll end up selling it so the next guy will get that awesome deal that you were looking for in the first place. I've made money on the used ones. I'll lose $2,000 each for the new ones I bought.

 

I don't really care for the new quad smell, but I do like the security of knowing that I am not buying someone elses roached out machine. Not everyone takes care of their quad the way they should and you can not always tell if it has been abused right off the bat. I bought an 05 trailblazer limited addition and got out the door for 3200. I felt like I got a fair deal. I also bought my 05 spotsman 700 and he cut me a deal for 6300. So after I put a $9,500 dent in my wallet I drove off with 2 new quads and I even talked him out of 2 brand new MX helmets for free. (always ask for free stuff) My wife loves her TB. After I put the RCR stage 1 kit on it, I have grown quite fond of it myself. Good luck in the hunt for a good deal. I was happy with mine.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I doubt they'll come down to 3000, but you can always ask. Be sure to ask for the OTD price. They may sell it for 3000, and add all kinds of taxes and fees to make up the difference. Deathbloom79 is right about getting free stuff. At the very least you should get a free helmet. If you don't need that, ask about a rock guard and hand guards. Those two things only cost the dealer about 30 bucks, so they can afford to give them to you. Don't want that, how about some new boots. Our dealer always has them on sale somewhere between 85-110 dollars. You're wife should like the Blazer. Mine loves hers, says it's easier to ride (turning/handling) than my Boss or Mag. Curious what you decided to do or if the dealer took your offer. I just bought my neighbors 2003 TB for $1,700. His wife hated it and it doesn't have 30 minutes on it. If you do look used, there is no gaurantee that you won't end up with a roach but you can usually tell alot when you pull in the driveway. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

THE DEALER CAME DOWN TO 3200.00. I THINK I WILL BUY IT. LOW END FOUR WHEELERS LIKE THE TRAILBLAZER SEAM TO NOT BE TAKEN AS GOOD OF CARE AS THE HIGHER PRICED MODELS SO THE USED ONES TEND TO BE A LITTLE BEAT UP.
