Default New HPD Thumb throttle for the predator!!

As some of you know I have been using the prototype thumb throttle From Hpd . This new throttle is designed for the predator and is smaller then the one that was used for the scramblers. So far the new throttle is the best one I have ever used! It isn't the best looking because it is only a test model, but Hpd has told me that the ones they will be selling to the public will be much nicer looking.Hpd gets a thumbs up from me on this one.as soon as hpd gets the feedback for the final design they have said that they will be sending it to me free of charge.

thanks

Does it maintain the electronic part of ETC? just curious... dunno if that could be eliminated on stock carb... is it only for use on after market carbs? more info please? i'll goto HPD's site and post back if I find anything... thanks

well, the nice thing about this new throttle is it's alot smaller then the frist models. It does NOT use the ECT, that is not usable with this throttle. The pull is so smooth!!The only problems so far are with the plastic throttle stops, they just won't screw in without breaking. In used set screws to replace them.I'll post some pictures soon as I take some. As for the cable that is used;;;It is all new,and is set up for using a different carb from stock.Another words,, I don't know if they make a cable for the stock carb. The cable they sent me was for the hsr 42,45,48. On my set up I have a FCR keihin 41mm and the cable worked,,but I had to drill though the upper motor mount for the best location.I have been told that drilling though the fame is best and a must for the 42,45,48 mm carbs too. Believe me , this throttle is the best I felt yet!

I actually really really like the stock thumb throttle. Its the only one any any quad that doesnt wear my thumb and hand out. Its one of the first things I noticed when I first got my machine and every time I ride I praise Polairs for putting a good throttle on there.

the plastic stock throttle breaks easy,It's cheep crap! :::::: UPDATE::::::::HPD has sent me the new throttle they promissed. The prototype I have been using has now been replaced by the new throttle that you all can buy from HPD.Hpd Has sent the new throttle free of charge, just like they said they would. This new throttle is so nice,in fact ,it maybe too smooth.Everytime I hit a bump in the trail I seem to push the throttle abit more then I used to.Not a bad thing!!
I would like to thank HPD for letting try out the Prototype throttle and then shipping me a new one free of charge!!!thanks again!!
