trailblazer 250 oil
#1
I have a 03 TB 250 and I ride about 20 miles a month. Some months I dont ride at all. Not really sure how many miles I have on this thing but not more than 300. Anyway I dont go through a drop of oil. I checked the clear line leading from the oil tank and it has blue oil in it. But really I have not had to put a drop of oil in it. Now my sons sp 90 is using the oil. I made a mark on his tank to see if it drops. And it does each time he rides it. Should not the TB 250 be using about the same amount of oil as the SP 90. neither machine puts out alot of smoke. I just cant figure out why the TB aint using no oil. The machine runs just fine. And it's totally stock. And I use 91 octane.

I just dont put alot of miles on it, and never really gave it that much thought untill I saw how much oil my kids SP90 was going through. Then it made me second guess things. The oil is full all the way to top. Right at the bottom of the neck of the oil container where you put the oil in. I wish that it wasnt that full but I cant think why it would matter. When I bought it. I topped it off with polaris gold, yet the original oil in it is the blue oil. Could mixing the 2 oils have caused a promblem. I topped it off like the week I bought it. And thats been 2 years ago. I wonder how many tanks of gas it would take to go through a full container of oil. That would then give me something to go buy. I am going to get me a trailtech for it. That way then I would know how many miles I have put on it. So can anyone tell me how many miles or tanks of fuel I might have to go through before I go through a tank of oil. I really dont want to have to start premixing. Thanks

the size & shape of your tank on the sp90 might make it seem like it is using more oil than the tb,
my 02tb came with gold in the tank from the factory, maybe someone put the blue in your's, I doubt
mixing the oils would cause a problem, my tb useses very little oil also, I have to go thru many
tanks of gas before I can add any oil at all. I have changed it over to amsoil now, the service manual
will walk u thru the bleading of the oil lines & pump if u want to change your tank to one type of
oil, witch might be a good idea for u, seeing the oils mixed in your tank will be in there for a long time.
most 2 cycle oil manufacters say to keep mixing of oils to a minumin as the oils work better if left
alone. I have mixed oils in my selds & never had a problem but they run out much quicker.
