How high can you jump a Scrambler?
#11
I used to jump my Scrambler from time to time. I never did any MX type of jumping with it (its REALLY not made for it) but I used to get it about 4 feet off the ground.
Thats all the higher Id want to jump a 500+ pound quad anyways.

I have only caught the tensioner once that it got messed up and it went right back to the same position with a little force. I go over logs, through brush and everything else too.
As for jumping I jump mine alot and usualy stay around the 4-5 feet and have never had a problem with the scrammy. Most the 5 feet ones are from hill to hill so I know the landing will be smooth coming down on the back side of the second hill. I have landed a 5 footer on flat packed dirt and It did not feel good so I stopped doing it. Bounced my head off the front once.
If I were you I would put the tensioner on ASAP! I also now wear wrist guards as my wrists started to hurt severly for weeks after riding and jumping hard all day. I could feel it every time I rotated my wrist. It felt like I fractured my left one hmm.. but never had it checked out. Since I started to wear the wrist guards it has slowly gone away.
I am staying under 5 feet until 2007 when I get my Outlaw. Hopefully all the bugs will be out by then.

I have an X le, which for thsoe who don't remember was a 500HO 2x4 with aluminum wheels and bumper. I used to ride MX style with a warrior and mroe recently, a Z-400 and a YFZ (hence buying the preddy) my Scrammy took it just fine, but i had FANTASTIC luckwith that thing... a lot better than the Pred to be honest... also however it was 2x4 which helps a lot with weight... and has the fox shox...
