Well i cut 4 coils off spring and drilled 1/8th holes in slide, really dont know much about stock carb, and someone said put the needle on first notch or something, what notch? and i'am using a 162.5MJ and 42.5 pilot with 1 1/2 turn out on mixture screw, but it still is running rich and when i take carb off gas is inside manifold. getting frustrated race is tom. so any help would be great?

top of needle has 4 notches with a small clip , take out the clip move it to the top notch for leaner

 

if thats not enough change main jet to 160

 

always make small changes if your close.. and only one change at atime

 

well i change my MJ to 160 and put needle on first notch from top and 1 3/4 on mix screw, accerlates good but when i floor it quick it bogs, but it was doing same thing before i changed anything

 

mines a mikuni carb but iknow most people running your mods are around a 170 main

 

whats your elevation

 

i'm at 1200ft its mikuni, spark plug is a tad bit black, when i hit about 2nd gear it starts to bog

 

keep going down on the main if you think its getting better like a155 ..if it gets worse hit a 170 let me know how it turns out iknow you get alot of info from predatorowners.com
